Can Blue Girl Hollys be pollinated by China Boy hollys to successfully get berries on the girls?

I have purchased and planted 3 Blue Girls and I know I need a boy.

The China Boy could serve as a pollen source but only if it blooms at the same time as the Blue Girl hollies. China Boy is usually matched with China Girl. The best male for Blue Girl is the Blue Boy. A second choice would be Blue Stallion which blooms over a long period of time. You may actually find that there are sufficient males in your area that you do not need to plant one of your own. If you can't find the one you need now, there should be a better selection available next spring. Hollies tend to do better if planted in the spring, anyway. Enjoy your hollies!
