My first choice would be Acer palmatum 'Beni kawa', the coral bark maple. The name means red skin or red river. The bark is a coral red color and is especially visible in the winter when the leaves have dropped. Leaf color is yellow green, turning yellow in the fall. The tree is about 20' tall and can be either multi-trunked or have a single trunk.
