The Q&A Archives: Worm Control on Cabbage

Question: How do I control worms on broccoli and cauliflower?

Answer: You have a choice of three very effective controls:<br>You can put floating row covers over your plants (like Reemay) as soon as you plant. This barrier will keep the adult Cabbage Moth from laying eggs which turn into little green worms. Or you can handpick the worms when you find them feeding. Or, you can use a bio-control like Bt (Bacillus Thuringiensis), which is a bacterium that acts as a stomach poison and kills the cabbage worms as they feed.
