Will a few Serissa shrubs thrive if I plant them in an area that has part shade in am but more afternoon sun? I live in a suburb just outside of Jacksonville, FL. What about the heat and humidity of summer? Do they like to be kept moist?

Thanks so much for your time!

JoAnn,

Serissa is rated for your cold and heat zones. It prefers morning sun and afternoon shade but the lighting situation you described should be fine if the afternoon sun is not too long and too full. Keep the soil moist as the plant doesn't tolerate drought. It also needs the drainage to be good as soggy conditions are likewise detrimental.
