About 3 years ago I was given a Dragon Tree (Draecena) by my sister because I love plants. I would like to know how to stop them from having so many babies. That same plant is now 6 feet tall and has babied about 4 plants and those 4 plants have had babies too. This year one of my plants (6 footer, too) had 7 babies on it. Also one of my plants is having the babies out of the top of the plant instead of at the base of the plant. Why is this and what can I do to stop them from having so many babies? I can't stand to throw any of them out so I just end up with more and more each year! Thanks for any help you can give me.

It sounds to me as though you're providing just the right growing conditions and your Draecena is quite happy. There's really nothing you can do to stop them from producing offsets. I'd pot them up and give them away to gardening friends - or even to people who have not yet discovered the joy of gardening. Best wishes with your plants!
