Will Bauhinia blakeana (Hong Kong Orchid) grow in filtered sun under a very large Jacaranda tree in clay soil? How much sun must it have each day? Will the amount of sun affect its flowering? Does it have any pest problems or other problems? How easy is it to grow?

Bauhinia blakeana will remain healthier, grow stronger, and flower more profusely when planted in full sunshine. I'm afraid filtered sun will cause the branches to be lanky and you'll see very few flowers. I'd recommend planting a tree such as a dogwood (Cornus) that prefers growing in filtered sunshine rather than taking a chance on a Hong Kong Orchid tree.
