The Q&A Archives: when to transplant azaleas

Question: I lived in Tampa Bay area and just bought 2 dwarfs azaleas.I would like to know when to transplant it. Is it cold sensitive ?

Answer: Lola,

Fall is a great time for planting. Try to get it done by at least February so the plant has the most time possible to get its roots established before next summer arrives. The plants are plenty hardy for your area.
