Is Killarney Raspberry erect or to be trellised ? Any information on growing the Killarney Raspberry will be appreciated. Thank you very much. |
Dolores, I have searched the literature and strangely enough did not see references to its growth habit. However based on they parentage and type of raspberry I would strongly suspect that it is upright. Killarney was developed in Canada and as such may struggle in the heat of a southern summer. In your area the trailing type Dorman Red is the main variety considered suitable for the climate. The following web site offers info on growing raspberries and blackberries in Georgia: http://pubs.caes.uga.edu/caesp... Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
