What are some suggestions for low-growing, low-maintenance ground covers for shaded areas where grass won't grow? I'm in Zone 10, southern Florida. |
I have used Monda Grass and Ivy for shaded area. Both have done well for me. Periwinkles (Vinca minor) can be grown in shade. Woodland Ferns, the type found in wooded areas in most areas of Florida, do well. Tuberous Begonias, Impatients, Ajuga (Ajuga reptons), and Wandering Jew (Commelinaceae) are also possibilities. |
