The Q&A Archives: Knock out roses and fall pruning

Question: What type of fall pruning should be done for knock out roses?

Answer: Knock Out is a very low maintenance rose. It should be pruned in late winter or very early spring to a height of about twelve inches. In the late fall when the ground has begun to freeze, mulch generously over the root area. That's all you need to do in the fall.
