I am designing a residential landscape based on a French Provincial theme. Do you have any plant suggestions for Zone 6? Thanks.

French Provincial cries out for grapevines! You might also try including soft cottage plants such as gaura, dietes, agapanthus, highly perfumed David Austin roses, Hemerocallis ?Stella Bella?, blue marguerite, Salvia ?Navajo Bright Red?, angel daisy, seaside daisy and pineapple sage. Some will be annuals in your climate. You can also include bush germander (Teucrium fruticans). If none of these appeals to you, try planting annuals and perennials with bold and vivid reds, purples and blues, offset by whites or yellows.

Best wishes with your garden!
