bicolor iris and cold hardiness - Knowledgebase Question

Will bicolor iris potted rather than planted in the ground freeze in Cold Hardiness Zone 8? What should the winter care be for these plants? Thanks for your help.

Sheryl,

It should be fine. You might want to move the pot to an area somewhat protected from the cold north winds. Up against a building is good. Grouping pots closely together can also help protect them during very cold spells.
