Hi,

I have a canna plant that the gardener just planted but I noticed that the leaves have dry edges. Is my plant dying? What should I do to make it healthy?

Cannas rest for the winter months so you'll see the foliage wither and die this winter; cut it off the plant when it is completely dead. Don't water the area (rainfall is okay) and in the spring, new leaves will emerge from the rhizomes. Keep the soil moist but not soggy wet and your canna will bloom in the summer. Enjoy your new plant!
