We bought a Collie Mullens Rose of Sharon plant yesterday (11.24.05). Our temperature is 12 degrees F. Can we plant this out side now or how can we keep this plant for winter?

Your Rose of Sharon will fare better if it is planted in the ground. If you can't plant it in its permanent spot in the garden right now, the next best thing is to dig a hole and sink the pot into the ground. The ground will provide some protection for the root system over the winter months. Be sure to mulch over the soil surface to further aid in protecting the roots. Best wishes with your new plant!
