I have 'little bunny' grass and 'snow cap' shasta daisy. How do I winterize these perennials? |
Little Bunny grass (Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Little Bunny') can survive your winter weather without much preparation. Leave the foliage alone for now, but cut it down to ground level in the spring when new growth begins. Your Shasta Daisies will die down this winter; remove the dead foliage in the spring, or wait until it dies down and cut it off the plant, then mulch over the top of the plant to protect it this winter. Remove the mulch early next spring. |
