| Wayne, Borders for bamboo must go much deeper. Barriers for bamboo will typically be about 3) inches or more deep and made of very thick, tough materials. Any of the running types of bamboo will fill in well for such an area. Just keep in mind that with bamboo the first couple of years you will not see much growth and filling in but in the 3rd year you should start to see it get moving at a faster pace.
