The Q&A Archives: maple identification

Question: I collected some maple seeds today from the my banks parking lot, but I can not find in any of my tree books which type of maple it is...or even if it is a maple. The seeds look like maple. How can I send you a photo of the leaves and seeds for you to help me identify it?

Answer: There are so many maples, you may never be able to identify the tree! Here's a website with descriptions and photos of the most commonly grown maples. Maybe you can find your tree. Hope so!
