The Q&A Archives: Japanese maple tree

Question: I live in South Carolina and have a Japanese maple tree. Is it natural for it to brown & or drop leaves this time of year?

Answer: Japanese maple trees are deciduous so it is perfectly natural for them to lose their leaves when the weather gets cold. Not to worry - it will produce healthy new leaves next spring. Enjoy!
