I really enjoy my lantana bushes, I would like to prune them, but I would like some information on best time to do it. Can I prune them back some as they are flowering to help control their spread? Also how far back should i prune them in the spring ? Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You; O.W. Ladlee

Lantana blooms on new growth of the season, so you can prune it back quite hard in late winter to early spring. To encourage branchind and compact growth, you could shear lightly once or twice. You can also selectively prune out the longest branches to help control size during the growing season.
