Need some suggestions for landscape around winter mobile home in Sebring, Fl - drought tolerant flowers, shrubs, trees and ground cover that will provide beauty and blooms in the December to April months without watering and pruning. I know thats a tall order - But - Any help appreciated. HAVE A GREAT DAY!! - Emma

That is a tall order. Some cool season flowers include pansies, viola, alyssum, stock, snapdragons, and the foliage plant Dusty Miller. Petunias and calendula are other options but they can't take a freeze. However all these plants need some water and thus can't be totally left uncared for. During the cooler winter months however watering needs are greatly reduced.

Shrubs that bloom in the winter or early spring season include:
Bougainvillea
Primrose jasmine (Jasminum mesnyi)
Chinese Witchhazel (Loropetalum chinense)
Camellia (Camellia japonica & Camellia sasanqua) - needs regular watering
