I planted 3 Yellow Coconut Palms (about 23 inches high). They took a beating during Katrina. The leaves are pretty yellow. New leaves are coming up from the core but not very green. I have fertilised them with a Palm mixture, and applied Magnisium. Should I worry? Or just wait until winter in South Florida (Port St Lucie) is over? Thank you and best regards

Johannes,

Time may be the best help to those palms. Your fertilizing is a good idea but don't overdo it. They need periodic soil moisture but not soggy conditions. The new growth is a good sign and in time they should recover and be green again. Keep up with the periodic fertilization.
