The Q&A Archives: losing leaves

Question: Why would my new Washington Naval Orange tree be losing so many leaves immediately after bringing it home

Answer: Your new orange tree is a little stressed and is trying to adjust to conditions in your home, which may be very different in terms of light, temperature and humidity than it was experiencing before. It will take several weeks for it to adjust. Once it does, it will replace the lost leaves. Give your new tree lots of light, ample water, and mist the leaves occasionally to counteract dry indoor air. Best wishes with your orange tree!
