I have had a mixed variety of indoor plants for about 6 or 7 yrs. I've noticed they are getting straggley. Can I trim them back? Not sure the names of them, but I know they are common. thanks Audrey

Most indoor plants respond well to periodic pinching back. Since you're not sure of the names of the plants you're growing it might be best to prune them back gently at first just to see how they respond. Once you get an idea of how they'll react, you can do more severe cutting back. In any case, to maintain plant health, don't remove more than one-third of the live plant material in any one pruning session.

Best wishes with your plants!
