The Q&A Archives: hylocereus (night-blooming cereus)

Question: Sunday, 1/8/06

How and when can

Answer: Dianne,

It is propagated from cuttings taken most any time you wish. Cut a section of flat stem into sections about 3-4 inches long. Allow it to set out of the sun and dry for a couple of days and then stick the cut piece with the end that was toward the roots down into a fresh potting or rooting mix. Cover with a clear cover and keep moist not soggy. Place in a bright area out of direct light.
