| Springtime and then periodically throughout the summer are the best times to prune your marguerite to keep it looking neat and tidy. This spring cut it back by about one-third; then as the flowers fade, cut them off along with some of the stem. Cutting the stem back will encourage the formation of additional flowering stems.
