Can you tell me if hylocereus can be propagated with leafless cuttings and/or like the leaves of succulents? How soon in spring can I transplant my coleus cuttings that I'm overwintering? Thank you very much, Dianne |
Hylocereus undatus, the night blooming cereus, is propagated by cutting or by seed in the spring. Seed should be sown in well-drained compost and should germinate in 14 to 28 days at 65? to 70? F (18? - 21? C). You can take your coleus cuttings outdoors when the weather warms in the spring. They are tender and like temperatures of 70 during the day and 60 at night. Enjoy your garden. |
