| Two trees come immediately to mind: Cornehan cherry (C. mos), with masses of small yellow flowers appearing before the leaves in early spring, and the tartarian dogwood (C. albs var. sibirica), grown for its red stems that are especially showy on the wintertime. Either will adapt to the site you describe. |
