Hi, a house was just built behind us with a 2nd floor window looking right at our deck (approx 125ft away), luckily we sit up a bit higher than them. We need either a fast growing evergreen (not to wide) or a larger (10 feet plus)evergreen that transplants well and grows moderately. We have 4 leyland cypresses back there that are about 12-15 feet high, but of course they are 5 feet off to the side where we need them. Thanks for your help. Leyland cypress is a popular tree for screening and privacy plantings so you might consider expanding your planting of cypresses. You might also consider Witchita Blue or Skyrocket junipers. These are reasonably fast growing, upright plants. Or, American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis) is a tall, columnar evergreen that is a natural for planting in rows for quick screening. Hope one of these suggestions works for you in your landscape!
