On yesterday's Garden Smart show Dr. Ludwig talked about large leafed plants and showed plants like the Rice Paper Plant, which will not grow in my area. Will you name other plants that large and beautiful that will grow in my area of zone #3?
Thank you, Ruby Comstock

I'm afraid that tropical-looking plants, those with big, bold leaves, are mostly tender and can only be grown as annuals in your gardening region. If you have space, you could keep these exotics in containers and grow them indoors during the winter months, taking them outdoors in the spring and summer months. Wish I had better news for you!
