The Q&A Archives: Dying Tree

Question: I planted a douglas fir last spring and watered it faithfully 3x a week and it started to die in August at base a rust colorand now it has turned completely rust color,is there anything I can do to bring it back? Sincerely Mary

Answer: Unfortunately, based on your description, it sounds as though your tree may be dead. I would suggest you work with your local professional nursery staff and/or county extension to try to determine what has happened. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging.
