I have received a Dwarf Washinton Navel Orange and have it in a container on our deck. We are on a small island of 300 people and I don't think there are any other orange trees anywhere around us. I also have a mock orange tree. Do I need another orange tree for pollination? |
This tree does not need another tree in the area in order to produced fruit, no. You may however want to help things along by using a soft bristled, dry paint brush to gently dab the blooms and thus spread the pollen. Also, since you mention it is on your deck, I hope you have brought it indoors for the winter as it will not tolerate frost or cold temperatures. Enjoy your orange tree! |
