Can the Golden Yellow Senna be trimmed to stay at 2 to 3 feet in height?

GOLDEN WONDER SENNA (Cassia splendida 'Golden')grows to 15 to 18 ft. tall and 15 ft. wide. Technically you could trim it back a lot but I don't think 2-3 feet is feasible. The plant is a fall flowering plant so you would have to stop all trimming by early summer or it would not have time to grow and set bloom buds for fall. Thus I don't think this is very practical of an option.
