| I'm not exactly sure what your shrub is; perhaps a variegated willow (Salix integra)? If so, you can prune in the spring just as new growth begins. If it is a flowering shrub, it's not a variegated willow and you should wait until after it finishes flowering. At that time you can remove up to one-third of the plant material without harming the shrub. |
