What is the best soil for horseradish? The soil here is clay and rock. Should I grow it in a raised bed? |
Horseradish grows best in rich, moist soils and prefers coolish temperatures. Prepare your raised bed and add soil. Top with about four inches of organic matter such as peat moss, leaf mold, or compost. Mix it all together to a depth of about 12 inches. Plant horseradish roots in late winter or early spring, spaced about a foot apart. |
