The Q&A Archives: dendrobium orchids

Question: Would you please tell me which is the best medium in which to grow dendrobium orchids?

Thanks a lot,

Answer: Orchids need very well-drained medium to grow in, so I'd pot them in orchid soil mixed with bark chips - about a 50/50 mix. They also like to be crowded in the container, so don't repot to a larger size until you're sure the roots are really overcrowded. Enjoy your orchids!
