Although Blue Italian Cypress has the potential to reach 6' in width, they rarely grow more than 3' wide in landscape situations. Planting them 2' apart will help you achieve a dense screen. These plants adapt to most soils and will grow best in full sunshine. The site you describe sounds just fine for these plants. With regular water and an annual feeding, your Blue Italian Cypresses should grow quickly. Expect about 12" of new growth yearly.

Best wishes with your landscape!
