| I received the Angelwing Jasmine plant as a potted plant in July. I live in an apt and it sits in a sunny window. It is growing wild! How much and how often should I water this plant? Can I cut it and start new plants? Should it be planted outside in the ground or leaving it inside in a pot is fine? Please advise. Thank you! |
| Jasminum nitidum is an evergreen plant that will grow year round and it blooms from spring until fall. It would not survive your cold winters outdoors so you will need to keep it indoors as a container plant. If you need to prune it, prune selectively in the fall or winter to try to keep it small -- it can reach 20 feet tall if grown in the ground in a tropical climate! You can tie it to a trellis if desired to try to keep it tidier. It sounds like your plant is doing well, so do not make any abrupt changes to its care. Watering is done as needed to keep the soil slightly moist; the frequency would depend on the ambient temperature, size of the container relative to the plant, and other factors.
