I live in Olive Branch ( a suburb of Memphis, Tn..). I am a landscape and lawn maint. professional. I need to know the size of a 5 gal. Mexican Weeping Bamboo after planting, The rate of growth per year and division instructions. Thank you |
Guy, Mexican weeping bamboo grows fast, reaching 15 to 20 feet tall in a few years depending of course on growing conditions. Rate per year may be a little slow the first year and then increase with the next 3-4 years. It can be divided, with some work, using a shovel to separate out the clumps in late winter. It may be a few years before it will have grown enough for dividing. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
