Could you please suggest some hardy tropical plants / trees / shrubs and blooming flowers for pool area in Middle Georgia. We prefer perrenials ... Thanks

Alice,

Hardy and tropical are pretty much mutually exclusive terms. Your 7b hardiness zone leaves some fairly hardy choices such as white butterfly ginger and Japanese aralia (Fatsia) a bit out in the cold when winter comes. You might have good luck with cannas, Aucuba, Black Magic elephant ear, Grecian Pattern plant, one of the hardy bananas such as Hardy Fiber Banana (Musa basjoo) or Darjeeling Banana (Musa sikkimensis (M. hookeri)) and a few of the hardier palms such as needle palm.
