I purchased five of your Wheeler's Dwarf Japanese Mock Orange shrubs
from Pike's Nursery here in Decatur, GA. I live in Decatur, GA which is Zone 7 and I noticed your tag on the plants USDA Cold Hardiness Zone is 9-11. Should I return the shrubs or do you think they will survive the colder temperture's here? I ask the sales associate at Pikes and he thought they did fine in this area but I failed to read your tag with the information. HELP PLEASE...

Beverly,

Some sources rate those plants as zone 8 rather than zone 9. However, they are not rated as surviving temps much below the low 20's so in your area without significant protection a normal winter would likely do considerable damage to them.
