We have mums plants in our garden. They came with a perennial garden that we purchased. Are mums a perennial plant? And will they come back each year?

Mums are perennial, but not all mums are fully winter hardy. So, whether or not they will come back for you will depend in part on what variety you have planted. Also, even the most hardy mums require a well drained location or they will not survive a winter. So it also depends on where they are planted. Look around the perimeter of each plant in mid spring and see if there is new growth coming up from the ground, if so you are in good shape. Good luck with the mums!
