My young plant is losing all its leaves. The leaves have very tiny reddish bugs only to be seen under a magnifying glass. The plant lives outside my front door. What can I do to save this plant? |
A large population of spider mites can contribute to the defoliation of your citrus tree so you'll want to control the pests to enable your tree to regain its health. Spider mites prefer to live in warm, dry places so hosing your tree off on a weekly basis during the summer months will help keep the pests from attacking again. For now you'll want to suffocate the little pests with an application of horticultural oil (sometimes called dormant fruit tree spray). Be sure to read and follow the label directions. Good luck with your lemon tree! |
