As soon as bulbs are available in the fall, plant them in containers filled with regular potting soil. In a 6-inch pot plant 3 bulbs. Larger pots can accomodate more bulbs. Just barely cover the shoulders of the bulbs with potting soil, leaving the tips exposed. Then put the pots in a cool, dark area, like a garage. Allow eight to ten weeks for roots to form and then water the pots well. Once there's 2-3 inches of growth, bring the pots inside in a brightly lit area. Flowering should take place 3-6 weeks later.
