At a recent seminar on grass cover, MONDO GRASS was suggested as the best for our area. Questions arose for such name, so I volunteered to say that the word MONDO, Italian for World, was probably chosen to indicate that this type of grass could be used everywhere. I promised to have the correct answer at the next seminar. Am I right? Thank you and best regards. Andrew Rossi |
Andrew, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! I am not sure why they named that plant mondo but it is indeed widely adapted. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
