The Q&A Archives: Can we expect the same sucess growing costal redwoods down here in Baja as we did in Fresno ca?

Question: In Fresno,Ca we planted 15 seedings that in 10 years grew to an average height around 35-40 feet. Any chance of this happening down here in Baja?

Answer: Some of the largest trees in San Diego are Coastal Redwoods so you should have good success with trees in your new growing region. I can't predict how fast they will grow - growth rate really depends upon growing conditions (soil, care, and environment). I have no reason to expect them to do anything but flourish under your care. Best wishes with your new trees!
