The Q&A Archives: Little Henry Sweetspire shrub

Question: Is the Little Henry Sweetspire shrub a good shrub for zone 7?

Answer: Karen,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Little Henry Sweetspire is fine for zone 7. However it prefers acidic soils with lots of organic matter and a location with bright shade. Thus you will need to do some significant soil amending in your area for it to feel at home.
