The Q&A Archives: What is the name

Question: What is the name of the white rhododendron used in the planters at Garden Design Live!, featured in Garden Design magazine. In aluminum chippendale planters in black and white garden.

Answer: Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of that on hand to take a look at but in any case in my experience it is usually quite difficult to identify a specific cultivar by photo. You might try contacting the magazine and see if they or the photographer or designer can tell you specifically which one it is. There are any number of white rhododendrons, so you might also try working with your local professional nurseryman to identify something that is at least similar if not quite identical, based on the photo you have. That way if you want to grow it you will know it is a variety that does well in your local area. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you.
