I planted a D.D. Blanchard Magnolia in full sun last spring, but it hasn't grown at all, I'm worried. I live in south Texas. I see a few new leafs but how long before I notice it growing? |
The fact that the tree is slow growing is rather normal for one that has not been in the ground very long. But you may need to keep the soil a little more moist. Not soggy just moist. Dry spells can really set them back especially for a young tree that has not had many years to develop an extensive root system. Mulch the area around the tree well to hold moisture and deter weeds. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
