I have a 30' queen palm that lost a new shoot coming from the center of the palm during hurricane Wilma. I have not seen any new growth for about 3 months. The old branches are still very green. Is there anything that I can do to stimulate new growth. I put my hand into the core of the Palm and I pulled out some rotted matter.

Paul,

If the top or terminal bud on the palm was killed or lost the tree will not be able to grow another one and will die in time. Most palms only have one growing point unlike other trees.
