The Q&A Archives: Tall and thin tree

Question: What tree can I plant that grows thin and tall? I wish to plant it on the side of the house using 2' of space.

Answer: I don't think you will find a tree that remains only 2' wide, but you might consider planting an upright evergreen such as Arborvitae. The cultivar 'Pyramidalis' reaches about 15' in height while remaining only about 2' in width.
